Cut & Assemble: An Early American Seaport — Easy-to-Make Paper Models

Build a full-color replica of a New England seaport with this fascinating paper model set. Based on the restoration of 19th-century Mystic, CT, this 8 1/4" x 11" book contains all cardstock cutouts, step-by-step instructions, and diagrams explaining how to cut, fold, and assemble 11 3-D buildings (rendered on heavy cardstock). You will also find boats, a wagon, a pier, and shop signs. A short introduction with interesting historical background and captions explaining the function of each building is included as well.

Please note: This activity includes some small pieces to cut out (under 1"), and some aspects require fine dexterity, so it can be fun to do as a multi-person project!
